A.C.E & METROGRAPH PRESENT : INS & OUTS

‘Ins and Outs’ is a new series born out of Metrograph’s ongoing collaboration with American Cinema Editors. In each installment of the series, we sit down with an editor as they discuss their career and break down a specific scene from a film of their choosing. In the first episode of Ins and Outs, editor Tim Squyres discusses his extended collaboration with Ang Lee and breaks down a scene from Jonathan Demme’s 2007 film, Rachel Getting Married. Squyres’s work on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) earned nominations for the Academy Award for Best Film Editing, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award for Best Editing, the American Cinema Editors Eddie Award, among other awards. In 2012, he was also nominated for the Academy Award for Life of Pi.
